Emilia Clarke headed for a galaxy far, far away

"Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke is joining the cast of the upcoming Han Solo film, a prequel to the original "Star Wars" trilogy.

While the film itself hasn't been named yet, Clarke joins a number of big names on the cast including Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover who play Han Solo and Lando Calrissian, respectively.

"StarWars.com is excited to announce that Clarke, known for her stirring portrayal of Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones, will join the upcoming untitled Han Solo Star Wars movie. Clarke’s role will round out a dynamic cast of characters that Han and Chewie will encounter on their adventures," according to the official website.

No word yet on who Clarke will be play in the film, which is due in the theaters in 2018.
