Khalid to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards

Khalid is joining the lineup of live performances at the MTV Video Music Awards.

MTV announced on Twitter Monday that the Americas High School graduate would be taking the stage this Sunday.

Other artists performing include Gucci Mane, Logic, Post Malone, Ed Sheeran, Katy Perry and Kendrick Lamar.

Khalid was also nominated for Best New Artist at the MVAs. He shares the nomination with Kodak Black, SZA, Young M.A., Julian Michaels and Noah Cyrus.

Khalid is in the middle of his “American Teen Tour.” He continues to be at the top of the Billboard charts with his album and the song that sparked his music career – “Location.”

The 19-year-old is also the face of a clothing line by popular retailer Forever 21 and he’s been featured on numerous network shows. Khalid has also collaborated musically with artists like Calvin Harris, Zedd, Logic, Alessia Cara and just recently was featured on the Marshmello’s song “Silence.”

The awards show will air live at 8 p.m. ET/PT Sunday on MTV.
