Ryan Reynolds invites fan to 'Deadpool 2' premiere after dental surgery video goes viral
Ryan Reynolds has invited a "Deadpool" fan to join him at the sequel's upcoming premiere after spotting a funny video he had posted on Twitter.
James D. Eversole, Jr. shared footage of himself high on painkillers on Wednesday (03Jan18) after undergoing dental surgery to have his wisdom teeth removed, and during his car ride home, he repeatedly expressed fears that he and his wife had missed the opportunity to see Deadpool 2 - even though it's not due for release until the spring.
"Post Dentist of Getting all Four of my Wisdom Teeth pulled (sic)...," he captioned the clip, which had been filmed by his wife.
The video went viral, and Ryan has since reposted the tweet on his profile page, while rewarding James with a pair of tickets to attend Deadpool 2's big launch.
"Years ago, I had my wisdom-testicles removed," the actor joked on Thursday. "I know how painful it can be. Consider this your official invite to the Untitled Deadpool Sequel, James. I'll see you and a guest in May."
A stunned James replied, "Please tell me I'm not dreaming right now Thank you so much RR I'm speechless right now (sic)".
Reynolds' kind gesture comes two years after he made a similar offer to another fan who had also undergone wisdom tooth surgery.
Before the first "Deadpool" movie opened in February, 2016, Mariah Boyle featured in another viral video, recorded by her mother shortly after waking up from the operation, when the young woman grew upset as she thought she had slept through the superhero film's theatre run.
Deadpool 2, featuring Ryan as the titular comic book character, is due for release on June 1, 2018.
