LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — Brawls reportedly broke out between members of the audience immediately after last night's fight in which Khabib Nurmagomedov took down Conor McGregor.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department contained the chaos to inside T-Mobile Arena where the fight took place.

Three members of Khabib's team were reportedly arrested after the brawl was cleared.

The wild melee apparently began when Khabib began to exchange punches with a member of McGregor's team. Then, someone from Khabib's camp attacked McGregor in the octagon.

The Nevada Athletic Commission is investigating the events and Khabib's winnings are on hold. Both fighters face possible hefty fines while Khabib could face a suspension.

UFC President Dana White released the following statement:

“The NSAC pulled the footage from us and there is an investigation going on. They are withholding Khabib’s purse, they are not withholding Conor McGregor’s. They looked at the footage and realized there is no reason to withhold Conor’s purse."

McGregor was trying to become the first fighter to win the UFC lightweight crown twice. Khabib, with a 26-0 career record before the fight, was favored.
